Community News

Feb-15-2026

Final day to submit your payment.:

This is a reminder that next Friday, February 20, is the final day to submit your payment for the January 2026 dues bill.

As presented during the community meeting on February 10, the Board of Directors is moving forward with replacing our current Management Company, Hawthorne. A new provider has already been selected, and we expect the transition process to begin in March.

If you delay submitting your payment, it may be lost during the transition. At this time, we cannot guarantee how payments will be handled once the current Management Company is no longer providing services.

If you have set up an automatic payment service for your dues, we strongly recommend deactivating it as soon as possible to avoid misdirected payments.

We will share the new Management Company’s information by mail and email as soon as it becomes available.

As always, if you have questions, please visit millstoneridge.org and use the contact form.

Waste Management Company Update:

Customers in the municipalities of City of Monroe, Town of Matthews, and Town of Waxhaw.

Friday collection routes: Friday collection is canceled this week and will be rescheduled to your next regularly scheduled pickup on Friday, February 6.

To accommodate the shift, we will collect additional bags left outside of your cart for Friday customers only during next week’s pickup.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these icy conditions. Please stay safe, stay warm, and keep off the roads if possible.

Please continue to monitor the Waste Pro website: wasteprousa.com/matthews/

Pet Care and Noise Concerns:

This is a friendly reminder that constant dog barking and leaving pets outside for long periods—especially during cold winter weather—can be harmful to the animals and disruptive to the neighborhood.

If you notice a dog that seems neglected, left outside in unsafe temperatures, or barking continuously for long stretches, please don’t hesitate to take action. You can contact Animal/Humane Services to report possible welfare concerns, or reach out to the non‑emergency police line if the situation involves ongoing noise issues or appears urgent.

Looking out for the well‑being of animals helps keep our community safe, respectful, and compassionate. Thank you for doing your part.

Pool Access

For your security, do not open the pool gate for strangers, even if they claim to be members of this community.

Access to the pool area is controlled by a security system based on identification cards. These cards are about the size of a conventional credit card. Each card contains a microchip with a unique identification number linked to your house address. A card reader is located to the right side of the pool gate lock. To access the pool area, touch the card reader with your card. Please use the contact form below to inquire for more information or request a new card.

Important: Replacement cards will be subject to a fee. Activation of your access card may take up to 72 hours.
